Sandhaven Promise ASH
(Waldron's Starman, ASH x Tea Tree Flirt, ASH) 15 hh
Promise, like her older half sister Endeavor, was taught to drive by the well-known trainers Francine Dismukes and Malen Dell. Further broadening her skill set, Promise was sent to trainers Travis and Kathy Braden to be started on cattle. With their help and her willing attitude, Promise won Reserve Champion in the Maiden division (Tarrin Warren riding) of the first US Campdraft.
Two months after winning her first award in Campdrafting, Promise went Top 5 at the 2013 Working Equitation National Championship in L2 with rider Kiki Pantaze. She has continued her successful career since then, winning at Pin Oak and at the first Haras Cup and placing top 5 in every major Working Equitation competition she has entered, and taking a 4th in her first-ever Horse Trial in Maryland, all with rider Dori Johnson. What a mare!
Promise has been retired sound, with an unbeaten record as the fastest horse In American Working Equitation and will enter the brood mare band for a 2018 foal.
We know she will continue to a great ambassador for the Australian Stock horse in America, displaying the grace and athleticism so much a part of the breed.
In training for driving, with Malen Dell. 3 year-old.
